		<description>George, great questions.  In my opinion the CIO must be a business-savvy technologist.  They must be equal partners at the executive table, sometimes leading, sometimes collaborating, sometimes following.

Businesses that expect the CIO to lead the way will fail.  Those that ignore their input will also fail.  Those that treat the CIO as an equal party in both reducing costs and driving revenue will win.
